About: FunkLoad is a functional and load Web tester whose main use cases are functional testing of Web projects (and thus regression testing as well), performance testing, load testing (such as volume testing or longevity testing), and stress testing. It can also be used to write Web agents to script any Web repetitive task, like checking whether a site is alive. Changes: Recorder and test take care of JSF MyFaces tokens, which makes FunkLoad ready to record/play Nuxeo EP or any JBoss Seam application. There is CherryPy support and a few bugfixes.
About: Mozilla Thunderbird is a total redesign of the Mozilla mail component to produce a cross-platform, stand-alone mail application using the XUL user interface language. It has many new features, among them the ability to customize your toolbars the way you want them. a new look and feel with a large number of downloadable themes which alter the appearance of the client, and the ability to add UI extensions. Changes: Security issues with moderate to maximum severity were fixed.
About: GnuAccounting is an accounting and bookkeeping application. It interfaces with Moneyplex, Starmoney, Karm, and Winston, embeds OpenOffice.org and Firefox, and utilizes either HSQLDB or a separate MySQL installation. Changes: Some bugfixes. The start of support for an XML data exchange format (Open Business Data Xchange). A makefile. The start of HBCI (a German home banking standard) support. A new About window.
About: j-Interop is a Java Open Source library (under LGPL) that implements the DCOM wire protocol (MSRPC) to enable development of Pure, Bi- Directional, Non-Native Java applications which can interoperate with any COM component. The implementation is itself purely in Java and does not use Java Native Interface (JNI) to provide COM access. This allows the library to be used from any Non-Windows platform. It comes with pre- implemented packages for automation. This includes support for IDispatch, ITypeInfo, and ITypeLib. For more flexibility (in the cases where automation is not supported), it provides an API set to directly invoke operations on a COM server. Changes: A deadlock condition that came up when COM references were being added to the session and being dereferenced by the cleanup thread simultaneously has been resolved. Callbacks are now multithreaded. JIVariant has a fix to take care of unusually high arrays. A protocol error on Windows 2K3 servers has been resolved. The reference mechanism has been enhanced. The licensing has been changed to the LGPL 3.0.
About: SmokePing is a network latency monitor. It measures network latency to a configurable set of destinations on the network, and displays its findings in easy-to-read Web pages. SmokePing has support for distributed monitoring as well as for dealing with dynamic IP addresses. SmokePing uses RRDtool as its logging and graphing back-end, making the system very efficient. The presentation of the data on the Web is done through a CGI with some AJAX capabilities for interactive graph exploration. Changes: A taint check error has been resolved and the :sys_wait_h dependency removed.

About: The Gamebook Engine is a cross-platform engine for writing gamebooks, such as the "Choose Your Own Adventure" series or the "Lone Wolf" series. TGE can interpret scripts that use the "Hyena" gamebook format. Changes: This release is beta software, but it will support a complete gamebook.
About: Avidemux is a graphical tool to edit videos. It can open AVI, openDML, MPEG, Nuppelvideo, and BMPs. Most common codecs are supported (M-JPEG, MPEG, DivX, Xvid, huffyuv, WMA, etc.) thanks to libavcodec and libmpeg2. Video can be edited, cut, appended, filtered (resize/crop/denoise), and re-encoded to either AVI (MPEG4/MJPEG) or MPEG 1/2. The Spidermonkey Javascript engine is used to give powerful scripting capabilities. Changes: Better support for x264 and .mp4 bigger than 4 GB.
About: Piggy Market Squeak is an easy-to-use alert system for trends in stocks and shares. It has a user-friendly graphical user interface and email alerts. It can highlight and sort buy and sell signals from marketplaces or portfolios. It is versatile and integrates new trend indicators. Changes: A new indicator: Stochastic oscillators. Many bugfixes, especially in the signal generation system.
About: FEST-Swing is a Java library that provides a fluent interface for functional Swing GUI testing. It provides an easy-to-use, DSL-oriented API that makes creation and maintenance of GUI tests easy. It can be used with JUnit and TestNG. Changes: This release adds support for testing Java applets, termination of running GUI tests, and common-use component matchers. It has code cleanup for better extension of fixtures, as well as bugfixes.
About: RabbIt is a mutating, caching Web proxy used to speed up surfing over slow links like modems. It does this by removing advertising and background images and scaling down images to low quality JPEGs. RabbIT is written in Java and should be able to run on any platform. It does depend upon an image converter if image scaleing is on. The recommended image converter is "convert" from the ImageMagick package. Changes: A stack overflow problem has been fixed. BlockFilter has been updated to only allow a few Web pages. Some code cleanup has been done and a few bugs fixed.
About: Ctpp is the C99-compatible C preprocessor of the Ctalk language, which provides object oriented extensions for C. You can download the preprocessor separately while Ctalk is between versions for development. Changes: This release has compatibility fixes for GCC on Solaris systems.
About: Gleam is a software sound synthesizer. It receives timestamped synthesis events such as note on or program change and generates a raw audio stream. Early versions will provide wavetable synthesis based on the SoundFont 2 standard, but support for other synthesis models may be added in the future. Gleam is intended as a library that provides sound synthesis capabilities to other projects, but a few simple executable examples are included. Changes: A binary release of Gleam is now available as a Debian package. This package has been carefully tested with lintian and is believed to be completely problem-free. The interface for command line utilities was improved. Some MIDI controllers were fixed and some missing ones were added. Some MIDI file errors are now handled in a more lenient way. Some incorrect implementations of the SF2 spec were fixed. Debug instrumentation was added to synthesis to find problems more easily. Thread safety was improved.

About: The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture is composed of several parts. The first is a fully modularized sound driver which supports module autoloading, devfs, isapnp autoconfiguration, and gives complete access to analog audio, digital audio, control, mixer, synthesizer, DSP, MIDI, and timer components of audio hardware. It also includes a fully-featured kernel-level sequencer, a full compatibility layer for OSS/Free applications, an object-oriented C library which covers and enhances the ALSA kernel driver functionality for applications (client/server, plugins, PCM sharing/multiplexing, PCM metering, etc.), an interactive configuration program for the driver, and some simple utilities for basic management.
About: phpLogCon is a Web front-end for syslog and other network event data. It provides easy browsing and some basic analysis. Data are taken from databases or plain syslog text files, so phpLogCon does not require changes to an existing logging infrastructure. Depending on the log data present, it can process syslog messages, Windows event log entries, and some more exotic things. Its troubleshooting support enables users to quickly find solutions to problems seen in the log data. Changes: The UserDB system was fully implemented. This is the next major milestone in the development of phpLogCon. The new UserDB System allows you to fully customize phpLogCon using an administrative interface and offers the following sub-features: Users, Groups, Sources, Views, Searches, and general options. Existing configurations can be imported into the user system using the convert.php script. The installer has an option to install the user system. Icons were added to all Topmenu entries, as well as into the Admin Topmenu entries. Stylesheets were improved.
About: Gengetopt Eclipse is an Eclipse plugin that provides an editor for GNU Gengetopt input files. Changes: Code completion was improved (also in the presence of tabs). Formatting strategy is now implemented. Quick diff now works.
About: TabView makes it possible to view and print PowerTab tablatures. With TabView, you can also export your tabs in MIDI format or follow the playback on screen to help your learning process. PowerTab is a well-known and widely adopted tablature editor for Windows systems. You can easily find thousands of song transcriptions in this format on the net. TabView is a Universal application, so it runs natively both on PPC and Intel based Macs. Changes: In this version, MIDI playback can be paused. A pause button is available among those that can be added to the toolbar.
About: Paludis is a package management library that works with Gentoo style ebuilds, together with a simple console client. It is entirely independent of Portage. Changes: Compiler issues were worked around that eventually lead to unpack dying when it shouldn't on certain EAPIs on certain systems.
About: NimbleX is a small but versatile operating system that is able to boot from a small 8cm CD, USB, or from the network. It doesn’t require installation or even much hardware. It is based on Slackware with the use of Linux live scripts, which provides it with thousands of free software packages that can be downloaded from the Internet. It has a GUI, a lot of built in software for browsing the Internet, writing documents, listening to music, playing movies, and more. It also has basic server functionality. Changes: Some new improvements were made to the USB installer. RC was drastically slimmed to fit more usable things. VirtualBox OSE is now standard. Partimage is inluded so you can backup and restore stuff. Some initial clustering support was added with OpenMPI. A basic Firefox kiosk mode can be booted from the CD. A lot of software was updated to the latest version. Bluetooh was finally fixed and it seems to work well. Compiz was cleaned a bit and some usability was added.
About: Patch Check Advanced (pca) generates lists of installed and missing patches for Sun Solaris systems and optionally downloads patches. It resolves dependencies between patches and installs them in the correct order. It works on all versions of Solaris and on both SPARC and x86. Changes: A workaround for 120011/120012 requiring obsolete patches 122660/122661 has been integrated. This allows full hands-off installation of patches in Solaris 10 again.
About: TCPDF is a PHP class for generating PDF documents without requiring external extensions. TCPDF supports all ISO page formats and custom page formats, custom margins and units of measure, UTF-8 Unicode, RTL languages, some HTML code, barcodes, TrueTypeUnicode, TrueType, Type1 and encoding, JPEG, GIF and PNG images, graphic functions, bookmarks, JavaScript, forms, page compression, and encryption. Changes: The implementation of the header/footer mechanism was changed and simplified. Several new functions were added.

Changes: i-net Crystal-Clear now supports security features like setting report base-directories and report permissions. The chart dialog has been revised completely and the configuration manager comes in a fresh and elegant look.
About: GPM (General Purpose Mouse) is a mouse server for the console and xterm, with sample clients included (emacs, etc). Changes: Changes from 1.20.4 and 1.20.5 were merged. The whole source code was reindented. Unecessary GLIBC hacks were removed. Some build cleanups were applied.
About: pmacct is a small set of passive network monitoring tools to measure, account, classify, aggregate, and export IPv4 and IPv6 traffic. A pluggable and flexible architecture allows collected network data to be stored into memory tables or SQL (MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL) databases and exported through NetFlow or sFlow protocols to remote collectors. pmacct supports fully customizable historical data breakdown, flow sampling, filtering and tagging, recovery actions, and triggers. Libpcap, sFlow v2/v4/v5 and NetFlow v1/v5/v7/v8/v9 are supported. Changes: The SQL UPDATE query code has been rewritten for increased flexibility. A new sql_locking_style directive, row or table granularity, is now supported in the MySQL plugin. Support for Endace DAG cards was introduced. The Linux cooked device (DLT_LINUX_SLL) handler has been enhanced by supporting 'src_mac' and 'vlan' aggregation primitives. A number of bugs have been fixed.

About: OCILIB is a C library for accessing Oracle databases. It encapsulates OCI (Oracle Call Interface), a low-level programming interface provided by Oracle that is a powerful but complex API. OCILIB is built on top of OCI, hiding its complexity and providing a simpler, more readable, and more reusable API. Changes: This version fixed runtime loading of some OCI symbols, runtime loading of the OCI shared library on Unix-like platforms. connection pooling emulation for Oracle 8i, and Unicode strings binding to PL/SQL tables of char/varchar.
About: The free Adobe Reader (formerly Adobe Acrobat Reader) allows you to view, navigate, and print PDF files across all major computing platforms. Adobe Reader is the free viewing companion to Adobe Acrobat and to Acrobat Capture software. Changes: A critical vulnerability that could cause the application to crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system was fixed. A potential privilege escalation issue was resolved. An input validation issue in a JavaScript method that could potentially lead to remote code execution was fixed. Updating is strongly recommended.

About: JFtp is a Swing Java network and file transfer client. It supports FTP using its own FTP API and various other protocols like SMB, SFTP, NFS, HTTP, and file I/O using third party APIs. It includes many advanced features such as recursive directory up/download, browsing FTP servers while transferring files, FTP resuming and queueing, browsing the LAN for Windows shares, and more. The FTP API is separated from the GUI and can also be used in third-party applications. It should ideally be launched in a Web browser via Java Web Start (contained by the Java 1.4 plugin), but can also be started locally. Changes: This release contains some bugfixes, an optional GNOME icon theme, and download manager improvements.
