Screenshot About:
Xplns is a free astronomy simulation software written specifically for Unix. It reproduces real starry sky on your display of X Window System. It calculates the position of many celestial objects accurately. You can enjoy the past and future sky on the desk top as if you have traveled all around the world.

[»] Binary only, no glibc2.3 support as of 2003/01/04
by Richard Rowell - Jan 4th 2003 19:39:37

Another nice astronomy package. I like the interface better then xephem's. However xephem is OSS as where this is closed. No glibc2.3 binaries at time of writing.

[»] x86 architecture only
by muTex - Apr 28th 2000 15:57:53

After downloading this progam's 2 Linux
versions I found that they are pre-compiled as x86
architecture executables. The REQUIREMENTS section
should be updated with this fact. No source either.
